THINES DUET & SALINGARI TRIO
Dialogue Project
THINES cultivate a free approach to the rich material of the Cretan folk music tradition and at the same time they manage to develop their own sound style. Their material comes from the core melodies of Crete's oral music tradition. Based on this material and its various transformations over time, they seek an honest musical dialogue with strong improvisational elements
SALINGARI composes unique spheres of sound that combine traditional and contemporary timbres. Their own compositions, each telling its own story, are an invitation into the unknown and the uncertain.

Haris Bakas: Traditionelle Perkussion
Robert Bernhard: Saxophon
Martin Grabher: Perkussion
Andreas Paragioudakis: Kretische Laute/Lyra/Gesang

VLASTOS QUARTETT feat. Maria Louka & Giorgos Zacharioudakis
The quartet "VLASTOS" is based on the oldest and most original musical material of the island of Crete. This material was collected and documented by the folklorist and pedagogue Pavlos Vlastos, in his research across the island of Crete between 1860 and 1910. Dimitris Sgouros brought this material to light in 2010. The variety of songs and dances is enormous. Through delicate and innovative arrangements that immerse the audience in this ancient music through a refined balance between the archaic, the lyrical and the explosive, the SOUNDBLOSSOM FESTIVAL will celebrate its finale
