SYRUP ON THE LIPS OF NIGHT a journey in sound with Fanis Karoussos and Andreas Paragioudakis

This is a creation that incorporates both traditional and experimental sounds, combining the santoor, lute, lyre, mandolin, piano, electronic sounds and voice. These instruments are joined by the Jew's harp, the concertina and the melodica to create an all-encompassing sound journey. Using a composition of pre-prepared sounds, we create soundscapes that combine traditional Greek tunes with experimental and improvised atmospheres. These sound creations move along the line between light and darkness, day and night, hope and despair, the visible and the invisible. The audience is invited to participate interactively in the world of sound created by the two multi-instrumentalists.
