PANDORAS DREAM

After the Noise

Pandora’s Dream is an international sound project that combines music, poetry and political reflection. The trio consists of Palestinian percussionist and vocal artist Tony Majdalani, Greek musician Andreas Paragioudakis and German double bassist Florian King. Their central work, inspired by the poem of the same name, “After the Noise”, by Swiss author Lucie Schaeren, deals intensively with the themes of war and peace.

The band creates an atmospheric soundscape that encourages listeners to reflect on the emotional and social repercussions of conflict, whilst at the same time offering comfort and hope. Through its unique instrumentation – ranging from traditional mandolin and lyre to double bass, modern electronic soundscapes and an expressive voice – the band crafts a haunting fusion of poetry and music. Pandora’s Dream invites the audience to reflect on the hopes and challenges of a world marked by contradiction and turbulence.

Tony Majdalani: Percussion, Vocals

Andreas Paragioudakis: Madnolin, Cretan Lyra, Cretan Lute, Vocals

Florian King: Double-Bass, E-Bass, Electronics
